    Thank you Newell!!

I was wondering what type of razor it was. I spent an hour and a bit making it spotless. I shaved with it tonight instead of the usual straight razor. Got a damn fine shave I just don't know how to shave with a de so there were performance errors..

Glad you tried it! It's considered a medium aggressive razor and will usually get you a BBS shave in a couple of passes.
Kinda what got me started in wet shaving. Got it because 52 is my birth year. Look at the underside of the head and it will have a letter and a number, W is 51 and X is 52 and the number is the year quarter i.e. Jan, Feb and March are 1.
Also kind of interesting on those is on some the handle was steel and some were aluminum. There was a shortage of aluminum at the time because of the Korean War.
