I got it honed today and i must say it shaves good. the blade is so heavy in relation to the scales it just kind of glided through the beard. this is one i will probably keep.

The blade is cleaning up fair but slow. no surface rust or pits but there is some staining that is resisting the wet dry a little. it's going away but slow. I do think it's going to be a good razor when finished. It is a D Miller and marked improved silver steel. There's no address on it.
Did the Polident work? I've never heard of anyone using that before. Just curious.

It worked to some extent but the soft scrub cleaned also. the polident overnight does pretty good when cleaning up and brightning ivory. It also kills bacteria and the soft scrub i use has bleach in it so the scales are pretty well cleaned when i'm through with them. After getting the razor quite wet i do soak them in rubbing alcohol for a few minutes to get rid of the water.
