Default Five for the day, and a rock for my time

Took out on a razor hunt today.
The blade gods blessed me a exceptional harvest, from the wilds
    of Ohio.

The three on left, top to bottom.

    A 6/8 Landers Frary & Clark

5/8 Wade & Butcher in Ivory
Stole it for $40, he thought it was bone. I said.....REALLY!!

    8/8 M. J. Higgens, my first chopper

    On the right.

    5/8 Oxford razor in bone

    5/8 J.A. Henckels Twin works #81
    Never honed

And a German razor hone, for cleaning and honing a Genco master barber, for a barber friend of mine.

Nice score, especially your "bone" wade and butcher!

Wow & WOW! Nice score. I have a couple of smaller M J Higgins and they take an easy edge and are really nice shavers.

And an ivory skinned W&B! Holy moly dude, see you in church on Sunday!

I'm anxious to see the Wade and Butcher when you're done.

    That's a great score.
Looking forward to hearing about what you think of shaving with the 8/8 Higgens chopper.
    Congratulations and enjoy!

Yes, very very nice score! Especially that 8/8 chopper.

I don't know though.... from my vantage point, I think the W&B is bone.

Me too....!! Its pretty clean and shinny on most of the blade, the worst is on the tang. Taking it apart and pinning it back up, is the part that scares me most.
The Ivory is sooo thin. And its my first Ivory scales, that aren't broke or anything

Yeah is gonna be a whole new experience. Its been refaced and honed a bit. But at least I can see the bevel is eaven on both sides, and how the spine wear is eaven as well. Who ever did it , did a good job . and for $25. I had to take a chance on it. Scales are junk!!
Their made from another set, and dont fit right and I broke out the pivot hole unpinning a bit ago.
So I'll have to make some scales for it too. So this one will wait a bit. Maaaybe[emoji5]
