    Hopefully this one is too.
Yes it is. Best razor I got, well not much to competition, it beats my Dovo and a Gold Dollar (insert sarcastic remark here) I have. None of my other straights that I have acquired recently are really shavable. I am still learning how to hone

Something a lot of newbies should take heart off before they go gaga over the looks and not the shave of any razor.
    Words of wisdom.... well done!

Alan, perhaps some photos of the razor in a separate thread would help and we can walk you through a proper honing. Sounds like you have all the stones you will need. Just make sure to lap them flat and bevel the edges.

The first 3 threads in the Honing Forum are packed full of honing information. A Diamond plate and some razor quality Chrome Oxide are all that I would add.

Diamond spray works well on felt, but is a double edge sword and can be harsh to shave off of without some Chrome Oxide to smooth it out. Skip the sprays for now and get the King Cutter shaving.

All sounds good, just one question.
How do you people take those really close up pics of the edges?

USB scopes, they have really come down in price and run around $30-40 Veho is one of the most popular brands, but there are others.

Make sure the software is compatible with your OS.

Great score on more beautiful projects Mike.
I'm sure that there are people other than " newbies" that go gaga over particular brands of razors shave or no shave. If something doesn't appeal to you visually no matter how well it shaves you might not appreciate it. No one I know dates an ugly person cause they have great personalities....LOL

Just Cheetah's opinion. Some blades have earned the right to be sought after. Most of them will never be made again. To each their own. Off the soap box now...lol

Cracks, gator bites instead of chips, heavyheavy hone wear and thick rust. All marked $60 or better. Like worse than wall of shame stuff on ebay
Stunning Mike!!!! You've been on a roll buddy. At that one who wants too much for his junk, you could take pics & put them on the wall of shame. I hate it when people use eBay as a reference to price their razor's because they can be way off. Another great score!
