Thanked: 3215Yes, looks thin on the toe and a bit of a frown, but can easily be fixed.
Take some measurements once you get it, then decide if you want a slight smile or a straight even edge.

Thanked: 36Definitely manageable to cleanup and rehone than other restoration projects. Shouldn't take too much time, depending on the finish.

This one came today and i was very surprised. the dark spots are very small in comparison to the blade and don't appear to anything to them probably buff out will little to no effort. The edge that i thought might have a small frown really don't . I'll soon find out.

Thanked: 4826There are a lot of model numbers. I would really like to get my hands on some old catalogues that have pages and pages of all the different models. I am looking forward to seeing you work and hearing the shave report.

I ended up using wet dry and WD40. Started out with 220-400-600-800-1200-2000 grit. then cleaned good and buffed with knife makers compound. I probably should have sanded morre but when it got to this stage I thought it was time stop. now all i need to do is hone the Wade and Butcher and this one. I think i have 2 more to do. You'll have to forgive my photos when i built my light box i made it on a pc. of plywood and now it's to heavy .

Well the back was felling pretty good today so i sat down with the last razors i got cleaned up including this one. It didn't disappoint. It hone up rather quickly and after the nanniwa progression and finishing on the suehiro 20 i stropped and cked. it passed the HHT with ease and i shave tonight and it was a nice close shave. now i tried out all 5 of the razors and they all shave. some nicer than others but i do believe that jumping form henckel to wade and butcher both square points to 5/8 wade and butcher to The Tower razor made in Germany to the french point Manhattan cutlery razor may have had something to do with it. I did end up with a small nick in front of the left ear from the wade and butcher square point. Oh well at least i still have my ear.
