Since I'm breaking the rules in this wonderful thread - my other Greaves, 7/8, and the next pic is one of the nicest Greaves I've seen, my guy Val at the Gentleman's Den did it, and has been coveting it for me from the person he did it for.
Reason I'm posting the two, is this is the closest I found to it, great, smooth shaver, this one is mine:
And this is for me, one of the nicest razors I've ever seen, beautiful Greaves FBU:
Oh, and looking through my pics, I do have this nice Greaves 8/8:

Thanked: 2284I'm in. I've had this one for a few years now, and it is my biggest razor. I truly love the way this one strops, shaves, and holds a massive amount of shave cream. Almost identical to yours Cheetah, just a different stamp.

I love it. I hope the edge of mine cleans up like yours did. People have posted concerns about the "grind" of the blade and whether the blade will lose some of it's height in restoration due to the spotting near the edge...so we'll see. I'm not worried. I'll worry about it when it comes time to restore it. Till then I'll learn as much as I can here and one day it will be on the SOTD list....lol When I get it I will hand sand the blade with what I have here then we can reconvene and see if the edge of the blade is damaged or will survive the resto process.

You guys are totally holding out on me. Sorry I was at work when all of this was happening. Not all of us have retired yet...lol I am definitely impressed. Grammar has been horrible of late but like I said if you have anything that's shiny and over 1 3/16 you can post it here!
Those could actually be butter knives or steak knives so you have to show the whole blade. NEW RULE
