Something interesting from yard sale
Just have to share with you folks this sad story: Found today on one of the yard sales in Beausejour.
Nice 6/8+ Wade Wingfield. Clean horn scales, some minor chips on a blade, but for asked little to no money, I decided to keep the boy with me.
But second one, just.... almost cried.
The box:
The cute 4/8 Joseph Rojers & Sons, clean ivory scales, the blade without any hone wear......
But like everything in our life isn't perfect.
This blade seriously damaged....
Any way, adopted the orphan too.
Really sad...Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving.

Very nice score!
I know that town Beausejour....been there many times! Nice little town.
That Rodgers can be made into a shorty. It would still be a sexy razor.... I have one similar to it....great shaver! Is it over there or over yonder?

Thanked: 3225Congrats on the finds. That Rodgers is worth it just for the case and scales even if you don't make it into a shorty.

Thanked: 3215No, don’t cut it, make it smile. Take a little off the toe and heel.
Looks like it might have a bit of a smile, already…
Nice find.

You might try making the Joseph Rodgers a round point and possibly save a little of the length of the blade. What ever you decide it is hard to beat a JR & Sons. Let us know what you decide along with some pics.

That case alone looks like it was worth the price of admission!!
The razors are a beautiful bonus.
Congratulations and enjoy!

Well, I wonder that don't have enough skills to restore the Joseph. Want to get an offer for professional restoration.
I guess that the case made sterling, but it could be made copper and plated with sterling.
I'll scratch some point to see what is under.....Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving.
