Thanked: 2284Exactly what I'm talking about. I've seen this same devil/demon on many different kinds of razors. They must have passed that stencil around to maker to maker to maker. It's the same with some etches too. You see the same etch done on different brands as well.
Burls, Girls, and all things that Swirl....

Making inlays, bolsters, collars and such was a specialized business, I think. Lots of inlays, bolsters, collars, etc were sold to different makers of razors or just makers OF scales, going back to early Sheffield though more modern Germans, even those marked for a particular retailer. It's a devil!
Was probably in a catalog once upon a time?

My Sure Devil has a gold devil with a gold tang. It just says Moline B.S. Co., Moline, ILL.& Made in Germany below it.
