Dreading naught and running wide open "with a bone in her teeth".
Imagine your face getting plowed asunder in such a fashion as the water in this picture.
Send that thing to me for proper management lest you hurt yourself.
Great snag, lovely old razor.Member Tonkin Gulf Yacht Club, participant SE Asia War Games 1972-1973. The oath I swore has no statute of limitation.

Thanked: 884That was the USS CONNECTICUT, BB-18, doing her sea trials prior to being part of the "Great White Fleet" that US sailed around the world to show off our Battleships and sea power.
She was launched on the 29th of Sept, 1904, and commissioned 29 Sept, 1906. Sold for scrap in 1923.
Beautiful ship she was and yes I rather imagine that the "black gangs" were shoveling mightily.
I bet the guys in the small boat taking that pic had a wild ride shortly after the pic was taken. Those old Tumblehome hulls moved some water. Not very efficient but they sure looked good.Member Tonkin Gulf Yacht Club, participant SE Asia War Games 1972-1973. The oath I swore has no statute of limitation.
