My dad bought one of those new fangled Sunbeam Shavemaster Electrics when they first came out in the 1950s. When I started shaving he gave it to me. The thing was so heavy you couldn't hold it more than a few minutes. The business end was just a single edge razor blade held in an armature which vibrated. I remember the box had a picture of a guy smiling while shaving. Obviously he wasn't really shaving with the contraption because if he was he wouldn't be smiling.

I wonder what happened to that thing.
