The antique malls here are similar, two old battleaxes managing the register. They only barter down a maximum of 10%, only if you're paying cash. Otherwise, they have to call and leave a message. Then you have to return later and do it all again, depending on the outcome. Too much hassle for me, so I gave up on bartering at those places.
I went to the largest flea market I could find nearby, 500+vendors. 1 washita, and a couple junk razors and 4 gillette safeties that look like they were left in the wash basin.

I've been to a few of those places, have to ask for a key, price written down, most of it junk....never forget seeing the Dubl Duck hair shaper priced at $300....just shook my head.
Place I was at two weeks ago had some nice Barber Hones going for $5 a pop, think there were three of them, but wasn't going to grab something just to put in the drawer.
Would be nice to hit one of those places once and find a stellar chopper...but then again, so does everyone here, and that's what dreams are made of....

I know of members who shall remain nameless, three of them, who going into 'junk stores' in the Northwest each, on separate occasions, walked out with Eschers for cheap. One guy got a pristine Escher with back label, yellow/green end label on one end, 'guaranteed soft' label on the other end ....... for $8,00. None of them spent more than $20 IIRC ......... if that.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanked: 4826I love it when I get a chance to go to Canada and look around. I rarely get much if anything, but I only get to look once, maybe twice a year.
It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!
