Yeah! Apples to oranges, I think!
Just how much stiffer, or whatever, is the stabilized version?

Thanked: 110Thanks for the kind words and congratulation's... I appreciate it and if Ulrik & crew see this i'm certain they do also. I will bring this to the meet for sure Dave.. And my apologies for the 6/8 size, going back to Koraat's configurator it did not have a size selection. I thought it did.. Anyways the pic should give a good visual on the blade size... I only have 10 razors left in my collection with only one even being a true 6/8.. all others are 5/8-11/16's. I have always liked a little smaller razor.. With that being the case this razor really does feel like a tiny hatchet in my hands.. Have a good rest of the day/night gentleman...Scott W

Thanked: 3226Congrats on your new Koraat razor. I have admired them for a while now and they would be one of the few custom razors I would order if the spirit ever moved me to buy a custom. A 14 in bellied hollow grind would be the one I'd go with. I have a few vintage bellied hollows which shave as well as any other grind of razor in my rotation. To my knowledge very few artisan makers and no makers of modern production razors make this difficult to do correctly grind. That alone is a testament enough to Ulrik's skill and a good reason to get one.

Thanked: 98The 2 Koraats I have are both my hands down favorites. I have several very nice blades now but in a fire, I save my main roll which both Koraats live in, then my wife and others. Ulrik is one of the best guys I've met just very passionate and excited about his craft. Congrats on buying your first newly made functional piece of art.
