I agree, Bob. The finely-ground Sheffields from the early to mid 1900's are extremely good.
While not as glamorous as their ancestors, modern grinding techniques of the day made for some nice shavers.
I have a few roundpoints that come to mind, a John Milner and a Walker and Hall from the 20's.
Like-new, they will rival any. I would think that square-point was made for consumption on this side of the pond.
Finding them in top condition seems less expensive and easier than big-name German and Americans of the era.
(It's a secret!)"Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
I rest my case.

Thanked: 61Very nice find! I have one Wosti (a peerless) that was originally my grandfather's and I absolutely love it; for that reason alone I always have an eye out out for more Wostenholms.

Thanked: 3224I have a Peerless also that used to be my Father in Law's. When I first used it I thought he was trying to get revenge from beyond the grave. It did turn out to be a nice shaver in the end though. Unfortunately it is not in as nice a condition as the Conqueror. Nice to have an heirloom razor around.
