Thanked: 3224Wostie Conqueror
Local find today. Just set a bevel on a 1K Naniwa to take the horrendous dings out of the edge. Even after the IK honing it is an 11/16 blade. Still needs to have small rust spots remove from the top of the spine and tang. Think it will all work out OK.

It's very hollow! The Germans taught the English to grind and they took it to heart, did some fine stuff from TOC to the 30's.
Everyone was at the top of their game. Americans. The golden years in some respects. Still, they were thin and often in risky scales.
To find one in this fine nick is extraordinaire anymore.
Has to be from early-30's at latest?Last edited by sharptonn; 11-15-2018 at 03:04 AM.

Some knives and such after the war. I put the razor 20 years before.

Thanked: 3224I have used this razor for a few shaves now and can say that anyone looking for a very hollow ground razor, it is a noisy shaver, should give one of these Sheffield made very hollow ground razors a try. It took a very nice edge that is sharp and gives a smooth, comfortable and long lasting shave. It is right up there with any of the very hollow ground razors from either side of the pond that I have used.
