I looked at the Wacker site and they say,

"RAZOR IS FACTORY SHARP AND REQUIRES HONE AND STROP BEFORE USE"

Has this one been honed and stropped?

I didn't try the razor, only the HHT and was successful, so I presumed it was honed and stropped. I didn't buy it from the factory but from a shop and ask if possible to get it shave ready. Today I defeated my laziness and sent an e-mail complaining and they asked me to choose between price reduction (not specified) or return. I chose the second. Now I'm waiting for instructions, hope not to have other surprises...

I think I too would begin a report with the vendor. When we buy new, we pay a premium for new, they should be pretty flawless.

Within the last few weeks i have honed 3 new Waker's , the £165 type. They did shave out of the box but would pull and cause irritation, also one of them had a heel wider than the toe. The scales needed tightening too .
They were amazing in comparison to some of the cheap Dovo's ..

Yours looks like it has some grind marks.. You could ask for another, if they consider it a defect or the fact that your not happy, they should swap it for you..

I would have liked a swap but I took the last piece and they didn't say nothing about it. Their proposal was about a price reduction or refund. In the end I chose the second because I think it's impossible to evaluate the damage by a photo. It's strange, as they told me, they didn't check the razor before shipping I think they should have done it considering it's non about a cheap item. Anyway I hope they will not find any excuses and proceed with a complete refund. I'll keep you informed...Thank you Gentlemen as usual for your prompt and precious support!

Like buying a new vehicle. It depreciates once you drive it off the lot.
I would have been disappointed too but I would send it back too for the money paid. It might take a little time but peace of mind is always a better feeling.

Agreed. The premium you pay for new merchandise is considerable. Flaws should not be overlooked for your sake or for other customers. If a manufacturer or vendor gets away with it once they will be encouraged to do it again.
