Thanked: 0Mail Time!!!!!!
So I got some awesome packages in the mail today that will set me on the right path to shaving 2 SR and a strop!
1. ERN 1166 “The Crown and Sword Razor” and the Cole’s Supply Co. 813 Strop from bouschie
2. Geneva Cutlery Corp, 7N, Pyramid razor From Gasman (Also a huge thanks to bouschie on this as it was his giveaway winning)
Thank you guys so much!!!! Now I just have to sort through the threads on preshave, post shave, and shaving soaps etc to see which ones I’ll end up getting. If you guys have any recommendations that are listed elsewhere please don’t hesitate to drop a link for me.
Thanks again,

Thanked: 56Very cool. I can't help with the products. But good luck with what I assume will be your first time.

Thanked: 56Ha, I figured since you don't have the soap. If it were me, I'd be lathering up with dish soap if I got my razors first. But I'm pretty dumb.

Thanked: 4826There are a lot of very inexpensive but high performing soaps out there.Musgo Real, Tabac, Spiek, Volobra are a few. I shop mainly at Fendrihan and Italian Barber, both offer shipping deals to the US.
With two razors and a strop you are set once you haves soaps and a brush. It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!

For a decent, not top of the line, but good quality soap I'd recommend sterling soap company. Plus they have more scents than most places.
If you want closer to the top then check out Chiseled Face or Declaration Grooming. But there are so many good ones that don't cost an arm and a leg. It's just Sharpening, right?

Thanked: 3225Just keep in mind that even with the best/most expensive soap and brush, if you don't know how to create a good lather you have wasted your money.
