The Super Scuttle tends to keep the lather warm longer. I would say that this is due to the immense size of the scuttle. Therefore more surface area to use as a "heat sink" if you will.

I typically fill up the scuttle before I shower and let is sit almost completely underwater in my bathroom sink. Then, after the shower is over I will dump the water out, fill up the inner space with hot water and then mix lather in the center exterior bowl.

This thing is so big and heavy that I can create lather one handed (I don't have to hold the scuttle or the handle) it just sits on my sink top counter.

I actually have my Georgetown scuttle sitting on my counter and it holds a couple of tubes of shaving cream and a custom made Merkur Progress (otherwise known as a "Mergress"). I use the double edge for a quick shave when I don't have time to baby myself with a good relaxing str8 shave.
