Thanked: 586I don't think I even use the heel when I shave. I do have a couple Gencos and they are great shavers. I'd buy it.

I will concede to more experienced razor historian, but I think some of these razors may have come out of the factory this way.
Who knows what was happening during grinding or finishing of the blade… these were for the most part made by hand. The razor master or finisher when grinding off the rough edge at the heel could have overdone this one.
If this razor was profiled "post factory" because of a chip at the heal, they did a pretty good job (smooth curve meat chopper look). It also looks to have very little hone were on the spine… a re-ground?.
Interesting though… the seller shows many close-up shots of the blade, but all profile views, never a “straight on” pic of the blade’s face so you cannot see the real outline of the blade… just enough information to appear honest… 2D photography… a sellers best friend… lolol.
