I want to know,
1. Is this strange form of heel result of restorarion?
2.Is this rasor a good shaver?

Yeah, I just looked at it again and I am pretty certain that its just a shadow and the blade is complete!

I just inspected two of my Genco's. My 11/16th has a similar heel, but my 5/8's heel is different:

Thanked: 22Send her out to a hone meister and then start many happy years of shaving with that straight.
The profiled heel just takes away from the original look, but not by very much. I think it was a good way to save that razor from the trash. Is long as there aren't any hidden cracks.
If you decide you don't like it, I will happily take it off your hands and I won't even charge you.
