Thanked: 1212Very beautiful. I like the details.
That's a Joe Chandler, right?
I guess John Keats was talking about razors...
Now, where's that emoticon for (deep sigh),
Bart.

Yep, Joe Chandler indeed - I quite like the nifty JC logo Joe is using these days. I don't think I need to say that the shave is excellent - as far as I understand practically all custom made razors provide that. It certainly is in my top few razors and on this level picking one to be well above the rest is just not realistic. Plus I need more than a single shave to get to know a razor
You may have noticed that the recent Chandlers have a bit longer shank - I think it is aesthetically more pleasing, but it certainly makes it different from my other razors, so I'm not quite set on the grip that will work best.
Also I haven't tweaked the edge at all - Joe has honed it great and even if later I may tune it a tad better to my tastes it's subtle differences we're talking here.
Now this is starting to look more like a review and I mostly wanted to just show off
And for those who can't live without one - keep refreshing SRD, sooner or later there will be more Chandlers there, or you can go the 'custom design' way.

Thanked: 351Gugi, so you are the one that bought the frilly sister to my plain jane JC! You got yourself a super nice razor there... I've been enjoying mine immensely! I too found the extra length a bit surprising when I opened the box and it seemed a bit awkward on the the first shave but once you settle in with it, you realize that the balance is perfect and that large blade whips around like it's half the size it really is. I too am planning at least one more JC, I'd like to try some of the others but the JC is soooo good, I just can't imagine anything being any better!
Regards
