I am trying to have that one up on the screen on my laptop when my wife walks by. She will occasionally stop and say "that's a nice looking razor.'

So far I have not been looking at the Renaissance. That is the one I would really like to have next. Of all the stainless I have looked at recently, that one just looks like it would fit my face.

I suppose I would also go for the Dovo White Micarta

I just used this razor and although it is my only straight I would bet that not many other razors would fit so nicely around my adams apple the way the shoulderless renaissance does...

it is an excellent razor but like i said i have nothing to compare it to... but man it is nice to have such a nice piece of steel in your hands

The Renaissance has an extremely forgiving outline. The cutting edge is probably 1/4" shorter than most other blades, and the roundpoint, and very rounded heel let you whip it around your face with ease. It also takes a fantastic edge, and is a smooth shaver.

Damn, now I'm talking myself into buying another one!!!

It's simple, the SS stains less than CS.

Stainless razors also always make a point of saying that they are stainless, or INOX, or Rostfrei.

New additions to the stainless stable. Pretty similar to the Dovo 5/8.

Banner day here for the stainless-just recieved these two.

The Hess, with a reputation for being a smooth shaving stainless, and the remarkable, and rare Helje Le Duc.

The Le Duc is a rather dainty looking razor, with a slim profile, but what I'm really quite interested in is the fact that it is also quite wedgey, which is almost unheard of for a stainless razor (unless you want to fork out for a custom...)
