    Or farms ! ?
There are/were a number of nurseries (as in horticulture not children) around this area. They would have had huge greenhouses...

I bought this one with 2 others. It is a pretty hard stone, quite noisy but very smooth after I lapped it. It had been used as an oilstone and was heavily cupped. I have had quite a few guys asking to buy it so I'll be puting it on ebay for equal opportunities unless a Dutch friend of mine is gonna buy it.

Hi, it is almost the same as Olivias, maybe a tiny bit coarser.
When I held the stone side-by-side with Olivias, you could see they were related

I gave my DD Goldedge 50 laps on the C.F. hone as a final polishing after the coticule. It gave the edge a very smooth feel, less harsh feel.

I have had several mails and PMs from members asking to buy it. I did not know who to favour so I put it on ebay eventually.
