    Default My new baby

Well after snagging my Filarmonica 14 Doble Temple off ebay, I've been impatiently waiting for it to arrive from Spain. Finally came in today so I thought I'd put up a pic. Can't wait to use her, but she must go off to get honed .

I really don't like the scales, so I plan on poking around a while trying to figure out what custom ones I want to put on her.

I also love how tiny it makes my Henckels razor look.

Very nice snag! I like the way the original scales look, but a set of "evening wear" will look really nice too!

very nice . Mine's not much larger at 7/8ths. Still gynormous compared to the 9/16ths Henckels I have been shaving with for the past 5 months. The scales are just cheap to me. Sure I'll still keep them, but I would prefer something like what Aquanin has beautifully made such as -

That's a big chunk 'o razor! You could probably use it to split firewood too... Nice snag, BTW.
I strop my razor with my eyes closed.

I keep hearing how great these things are, the problem is that they are outside of the college budget. And it seems that the ones always popping up are 7/8+, where I prefer 5/8. Oh well, at least all the other good stuff is cheap while everyone is distracted
