You honestly don't need more than one coti for life, I'm just spoiled. I'm glad that you're happy with it.

Great pictures, thanks for sharing them.

I'm interested to know if you can get a sharper edge of a longer stone - I suspect you can. While I love my coti and it's a great size - 3x5 - it sure as hell is slow.
I love the smell of shaving cream in the morning!

You can get just as sharp an edge on a shorter stone as a longer one, it just might take you longer. The third one down, the long skinny one, is perfect for a long steady stroke, and it definitely does help with getting the edge there faster. But I really don't believe the level of sharpness that you can achieve depends at all on the length of the stone, but it would change the speed at which you get to that level of sharpness.

Son, you're developing an impressive coticule collection!

Since I know you're a coticule fan, I know you won't mind if I post a quick related hijack of my favorite looking coticule. It's the size of a brick. Sadly, I don't own it.

I remember seeing that pic before somewhere around here. That's a beautiful (and thick!) coti with some gorgeous manganese black lines running through it. Thanks for posting.
