'Old Tippecanoe' was the 9th Presidents nickname...William Henry Harrison, who died in 1841. Maybe this was a commemorative to that event and may date the razor to 1842-1850? William Henry Harrison - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

It is a definite possibility that the razor was made in 1840. "Tippecanoe and Tyler Too" was an election slogan. President Tyler died a month after his inauguration, from pneumonia contracted during his 90 minute inaugural address, which took place outdoors in the snow. From Wikipedia....
A slogan from the presidential election of 1840. “Tippecanoe” was the Whig presidential candidate William Henry Harrison, a hero of the Battle of Tippecanoe in 1811. John Tyler was the vice presidential candidate.Last edited by Croaker; 03-18-2010 at 01:00 AM.
