    The front looks as if it is sitting in the branches, munching on fruit.
    I have been puzzled by it for many years.

    Have u tried iintternet searches and company searches? Do the figures appear to be hand carved by a previous owner?

    I have ALWAYS just refereed to that thing as "Demon Pig" Thats what it looks like, so thats what it is!

    From what I've seen, the Electric Cutlery Co. had a tendency to use scales decorated in this fashion. I've seen this particular set of scales on a few razors (Ebay and the like) and have myself an Electric Cutlery Co., New York razor with similar decoration:

    I'm fairly certain the moon and stars are metal pieces. I'm not going to try to pry any off of mine though, to find out!

    They most definitely are metal. Non-ferrous, so my bet is either nickel, nickel-silver or tin.

    The scales make mine a very kitschy razor. Which is why I kept it, I love a bit of kitsch.
