Oh I thought you were joking when you said you were going to rearrange the collection again.
Hey Joe, what's that one in the yellowish scales? :-)

Woooaahhhhhhh !!
HOLY COW (and all other animals that roam this earth). I don;t know what to say.
What a collection. IMPRESSIVE!!!!
Do you have insurance in case of theft, fire, flood etc... (God forbid)? This is bound to be in the $10K or more range.
Joe, in all seriousness, insure these things...PLEASE!!
And, don't forget, add me in your will.

Thank you all for your kind words. In reality I am just the custodian for this collection. They really belong to Jr and CarrieM. When Jr first started shaving I remembered how significant it was to me and wanted to find a way for father and son to bond closer. Shaving has provided that to us and I am thankful to Lynn and all the members of SRD for making this site available to us and passing along their priceless experience with straight razors. As most of you know the acceptance of our spouses and significant others is important when a collection reaches a certain size. CarrieM has been behind me in this sport and encouraged me to buy my first hone and restoration equipment. Heck, she even learned how to make hone made shave cream that many of us now enjoy. All my lpve and special thanks to CarrieM!
Holli, It's a Black Diamond out of Solingen Germany.
Robert, The razors really do reside in a vault but thank you for your concern. While I have made razor purchases of a significant price most were had for a lot less then average. Over 2/3's were purchased in local shops. Sorry to all of you that have been looking around here. LOL
Ben, I really don't have one of everything. That is why I always need just one more! LOL I am hoping that after the next 35 I can chill out but I know it is just a dream. I've been trying to shave with each razor once a year but it is very hard. I really have to stop bring in new ones that I haven't shaved with yet.
Ben.Mid, Thank you for noticing. It does take a lot of time to find worthy razors locally and add in the honing and restoring it adds up quickly. I am a very lucky man to have CarrieM and Jr to share this experience with and we really do have a good time on the hunt and hunting together.
Cheers to all and best regards,
Joe“If you always do what you always did, you will always get what you always got.” (A. Einstein)

My one razor and I feel very insignificant right now.
Now I have pictures to show my parents when they start giving me crap about spending money on razors and equipment; proof that I could be worse.
