    $50!!

That is sick man. I wish the antique stores near me carried more 'junk' razors and stones rather than stupid southwest antiques and paintings.

Very nice score - I hope someday to run across something like this in an antique store.

Happy the straight razor enthusiast who lives near an antique shop staffed by folks who have no idea what they've got . . . which unfortunately doesn't describe me . . .the ones where I live never seem to have any razors at all. Great find, man!

It's 7" X 1.5" x 5/8" and it says Yellow Green on one end in german.
I truly wasn't expecting to find anything like this for $29.95!!! And the W&B wasn't bad for $17 either!! I did have to do a 100 mile round trip, but well worth it.

Is there any good way to protect the paper label? Maybe Krylon or something simular?

I have to get WAY out of the Twin Cities to even find anything interesting Razor/Shaving wise. My $.50 blueish Escher was in a junk tool box under a bunch of junk, no label and pretty beat up. No one but me or you guys would have any idea what that was!

Any chance you'd be willing to say what town you found these in? I want to know if I need to kick myself for missing them somewhere.

Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.

    Sure!
The newest stuff was from Red Wing (Al's Antiques) and the blue Escher was gotten 1 1/2 years ago in Owatona. Those are all heavily German farm communities, I've had real good luck there. The Red Wing store had TON's of Razors, two other stones (man made I think) and a few old beat strops plus tons of brushes.

    Default Ouch!

How come I don't find such deals?

Congrats. That's one of the better scores I've ever seen.

Think outside the box for hones, look in buckets of old tools or tool/tackle boxes and also kitchen junk, most people don't associate old hones with shaving, they only do if it's in a box or labeled and mentions shaving or razors. Also the junkier the store the better. If you walk in and see only glassware and dolls, just turn right around or give it just a quick once over
