Great Grandfather's Razor
This was given to me by my Uncle yesterday. It belonged to my Great Grandfather, who was a barber all his life. He lived from 1871-1951. It is a Utica Knife Comp. Red point Razor. My Uncle also has his Barber's Cabinet, a little countertop model, that he will be giving me in the near future. The Box came with the razor, but doesn't match it. I am also attaching a pic of GreatGrandfather and his wife. You can see he was quite dapper.

Hope you enjoy that razor beyond any other in your collection. A really nice piece of family history you've got there.

Thanked: 220Neat post! It's interesting to put a face to the antique razor. This man was one of the many forefathers of our shaving generation. Do you know the year of the photo?

Thanked: 3795I really like that photo of your great grandparents. Both of them have a special gleam in their eyes and a smirk on their faces. They looked like very happy people.
If you'd like, you might want to consider posting your razor and story into the Family Jewels thread.
