Hess Skim-rite NOS
I picked this up for a little bit of nothing.
NOS, I didn't do anything to it other then hone it.

Very nice find! Hess is one of the razors admired by many. Should give you a great shave. Congrats!!

Thanked: 84Milemarker,
You got a winner in that one- and in perfect condition! Congratulations. I find myself just a little envious.

I have a few Hess razors I restored but hadn't seen the "Skim-Rite".
When I opened it up and found it was like new, never been honed. I kind of felt like I was taking advantage of them but they got the price they asked for.

Have had and used a couple of Hess razors, and they are very good shavers although very hard steel, which makes for a lasting edge once you get it honed. Never saw or heard of the Skim Rite, so looks like you may have found a very uncommon razor. Congratulations on your good luck.
