    Default Noob finds a Boker

I am a total noob with one shave under my belt... found this razor at the local antique mall for $22.

I think it is a 1907 Boker, but there are no markings on the shank. I compared the tree marking to those posted on the SRP threads and from the number of branches and angels it looks like a match.

I'll attempt to restore this later, I need to learn more about my new fascination before doing anything.

    Any thoughts?

Nice razor. My boker is one of my favorite shavers.

It was Deja Vu. 'Bought a Henckels and didn't expect much, 'cause I thought their kitchen cutlery was overrated and overpriced. Took the pics, placed the for sale ad. 'Shaved to confirm the edge. The mistake was shaving with it again. That just happened w/ a Boker for me. I just deleted the ad. It was good. Shave was nice, the razor is visually stunning. I tweaked the edge, and the shave is insane. 'Not letting go of it. It has few of the normal attributes I prefer. Wrong size, narrow, light shank, light weight. But the shave...

I also remember Glen saying their steel was a bit harder than many, and the edges they take are great. I can only concur. Enjoy that new find.
