    Actually, this is part why I like it - with proper lather, you could probably just place it upside down in between uses. I never tried but I'd imagine you could. Then again, there aren't many coconut tree groves in Norway.

    Well, there's a local handicrafts guy who makes all sorts of things, besides
    coconut bowls...woodcarvings, scrimshaw, coral jewelry...and these:

    They are made from coconut shell, adorned with woven pandanus, and are
    used for all sorts of purposes...like bracelets, arm bands, napkin rings, and
    as support for the coconut bowls when used in flower arrangements.

    For me, this solves the "where do I set it down" problem, and it's pretty,
    too.

    I wouldn't even bother with fixing the ceramic bowl mate. I think you've got a perfectly good set up right there Paul.
