Thanked: 198now dont tell me that, i have been trying very hard not to let my rad take over again, and your right that place is a very hard store on the wallet. my biggest issue is getting around to ordering wood for the scales i need to make, i only have 4 waiting, with atleast one in the wings. lol

Thanked: 1160Loon...there is a thread here called stubb tail razors that you should look into cause it looks like what you got is a stubby which might put that blade somewhere around 1830/60 or somewhere around there.

Scales are on my to do list this weekend. I picked up 1/8x3x24 pieces of purple heart wood and cherry for just over $20 shipped (from Rockler). In hind sight I should have paid the extra 3 bucks for the 4" wide pieces but I should still get a few sets of scales out of them.
