Brother in Law's antiquing finds...for me!
Last month my bro-in-law surprised me with a number of antiquing finds - he knows I'm a wet shaver so keeps an eye out.
Finally got 'em all cleaned up. A boker straight (new scales but not fitted correctly - I'll get them re-done); an old Gillette half size (advertised as a ladies razor - I think a Milady Decolletee from 1927) which I've been using as a travel razor...works like a charm; a GEM Jr., just received my blades and am looking forward to tomorrows first shave; a Gillette Bostonian complete with case in fantastic condition (no clue on the date); a barbers hone and old strop. Not sure if the strop can be used, but looks great with the rest of the kit. The Bostonian was the biggest surprise and has now become my go-to, a wonderful shaver.
Also included a DE blade sharpener and other odds and ends. Not bad, I think he got everything all in for < $40.
Thanks for looking!

All good stuff but I think that is a Gillette tech in a Bostonian box. Great shave one way or the other.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Nice Brother-in-law! When you're done with him send 'em this way.

Thanked: 46Nice haul!
Is it just me being blind and/or stupid or is the balde on that razor too long for the scales?
