Speaking of French "restauration razors", we originally thought this one older at first.

Post some pics. There are folks here that can give you a good idea of what it is.

Here is mine. Does anyone have any info on this one? There is no mark on the blade or scales at all.

To my eye, that looks like a 1780-1810 Sheffield razor that's been rescaled, or at least re-pinned.

Here are a picture taken in an old 1880 book about the history of bladesmith and cutlers (the writter is Pagès a master cutler from Chatelrault) : you can see the different french fashion in the design of the blades and scales :

If I'm wrong, I stand corrected, but I think the dates of manufacturing are:

    From left to right,

    Razor 1, "rasoir empire"; 1804-1814/15
    Razor 2, "rasoir empire"; 1804-1814/15
    Razor 3, "rasoir restauration; 1815- 1830
    Razor 4, "rasoir Louis-Philippe (King); 1830- 1848
    Razor 5, "rasoir second empire" ; 1852- 1870,

    Regards
