Sorry no shaving acquisitions for me this year for Christmas, but my B-day is in January! My wife did try to get me some Feather DE blades for a stocking stuffer but alas, she did not know about the only brick-and-mortar store in the area that carries them (at a high price), and she didn't know where to go online for them. It would have been a double gift as those are her favorite blades to use on her legs for the Slim Adjustable and the Shavette. My 3.5 year old son received the other Glen custom (from Rugbysh9) and I will be posting some stuff on that in the next few days.

My parents surprised me with an old Gem Clog Pruf SE.I have been using str8ts for a very short while now and I believe this will be nice way to touch up a few hard to reach spots for me.I thought it was really cool, the little slip of paper apologizing for the shortage of brass requiring a cardboard box for the blades...wow...everything comes in cardboard now,if its not plastic!I suppose that dates it back the War with the metal shortage and all.Don't you wish things were still made "nice" like it was back in the day?The case is a little rough and the razor is badly tarnished, but i absolutely love it and cant wait to find some good blades for it.Is this thing made of solid brass as it appears?I want to put it on the buffing wheel and get it gleaming, but i don't want to ruin the poor old soul either.Maybe I'll soda blast it..?Any information on safely cleaning my new baby would be greatly appreciated!I'll continue scouring this wonderful forum in the meantime
Thanks Pops and Momma!

The dough recipe from Joy of Cooking is really easy and tastes great. Then it's just a matter of making some super smooth mashed potatoes and mixing in some cheddar (or my fave, pepper jack or habenero cheese).
Can't beat 'em. Especially served up with some sort of smoked meat from the Russian market or better yet, some Galumpki.

You will LOVE the DB 1.5!!! I recommend pouring boiling water into it.

Christmas was good to me this year ! I felt as spoiled as my son. My wife got me a set of Naniwas and a Jager DE 89 & a pack each of feather & merkur blades. My brother got me the Muhle brush and my sister sent me a new Dremel all the way from CO.
I took real good care of all of them to but none of it was shave related.
Merry Christmas Guys!
