That is awesome, I love doing that when I restore a car finding little notes, original titles and cool stuff like that. AWESOME find.

I was replacing the radio in my 1966 Corvair...when I pulled the radio out, several quarters dropped out from 1962-1964, and an invoice from the Chevy dealer for a "oil change and filter inspection." Good times.

Haven't found anything in stuff from antique shops but I live in a 100+ year-old house and everytime I do a repair I find something. I found some old coins, old bullets behind some closet paneling and a 1972 eight cent Pharmacy stamp. My house was originally a doctor's office...maybe some old bones around here somewhere

That is very cool. Now I will start checking the boxes as well when I'm at the antique store/flea market/thrift shops.

One of the razors I am restoring had initials carved into both scales; I sanded them off. I debated but ultimately decided the initials did not add anything to the razor for me.

You are very lucky. I collect a lot of different types of antiques. Finding a link to the original owner is so rare. To me it surpasses the item itself.
