Hard, no - different, yes! Heavier for one thing (I do like the heft of it!), different optimum angle to hold. I'm used to switching hands and blade-sides - BIG difference for me to use one hand, one side.

It sounds like you guys are very happy with Brian Brown's work. I e-mailed him yesterday and he got back to me right away. I shave left handed with my straights about 80% of the time so I asked him about making a "left grind", if that's what you'd call it, Kamisori. He said no problem. I'm getting pretty excited about this.
Earthdawn, that straight is BEAUTIFUL!!!
