    That looks cool, sort of like the frameback you buy when you're not buying a frameback...

    To me the type looks like Helvetica. I saw a documentary on Helvetica font once, it was very interesting...for a documentary on a font that is...

    I would say yours was almost definitely redone around the heel. Here is a photo of the one I had.

    Looks like mine was honed a lot more than yours.

    Yup yours has the proper curve toward the tang. i have been robbed. Lets trade..LOL
