Thanked: 4Yeah but I've run in a bit of a problem. I need some buff wheels for my buffer and I can't find any good ones. All I'm finding are these crappy 1/2" thick crap from harbor freight and I'd rather have something better to polish with. I'm going to start looking online for some wheels. I guess it's my fault for getting an 8" buffer instead of the 6".

Thanked: 884AIn't been to the Pate since it moved to the race track. Been a while I guess.
Might have to wander up there next year. Pretty much gave up on old cars. Got my boy a '67 4dr Fairlane to take up his time and money. SO far it's eating more of my money than his.
He graduates high school this year on the 30th of May and starts to work the next day. I got him on as summer help where I work hoping that working with a bunch of whiny, grouchy, old men will convince him to get an education. He will NOT be working for me and he's REALLY happy about that. They won't work him near as hard as I would. I had him worried for a bit, but finally told him the truth. Welcome to the real world youngster. LMAO.

Thanked: 467 Fairlane's are great cars. I've got a 67 Nova SS, 68 Mustang Fastback, and a 43 Willys MB (WWII Jeep). I don't have much money anymore. lol
Good thing you've got some work line up for him. I graduated college in Dec. and I still haven't found steady work. I'm still remodeling houses and the like until I can find me something better.

Thanked: 884That's quite a stable of old iron. I remember when 2 of three you've got came out NEW. I had an old '47 Willys jeep and it was nowhere near fast but it was a hoot.
Here's apic of the little poser and his old car. Paint's original except for one front fender that came off a Ranchero at some point in the past. 289 2V and auto. Just a plain Jane old car. He enjoys all the attention it gets. LOL

Thanked: 4Oh that's a beaut Wullie. My Mustang has the 289 2bbl, and an auto tranny. I've picked up a 4bbl carb out of a shelby and a really clean intake manifold. All I need for it now is the spacer plate. I'm debating whether or not to put in a 4 speed transmission, I'm about to get started doing that on my Nova. If all goes well I'll do the same on the Pony. My jeep is another story. I'm trying to keep it as original as I can barring the 12 volt conversion. As I work on it, it's delegated to a hunting buggy but does one heck of a job doing so, can go everywhere the atv's go and more. Plus I can have more people or more animals in it.
That's a great picture. Looks like he'll enjoy that car for a good long time.
