Well, yesterday I went to a swap meet looking for car parts only found some tires but two razors did come home with me.

I don't know much about them but I only paid $10 for the pair. The one with the dark scales is a George Worstenholm & Son's Real I*XL Razor with a Sheffield stamp on the blade not Sheffield Eng. and it has the original case. The other is a Wade & Butcher Sheffield I didn't get a case for it, and I'll have to replace the scales, but the blades are restoreable. However, I do have another Wade & Butcher with a worn out blade but good scales I may just swap scales with. So, what can y'all tell me about these? Did I do alright?

For $10 you did more than alright

It looks to be some rust/pitting near the edge on the Worstenholm, but even if it's so deep you have to take down a bit of the blade you will still have a great razor.

The rust isn't deep. I believe that with a little time on a buffer it'll be like new. I was looking a little closer at it and decided that I'm going to have to make new scales for both of these. But I have all of the tools I need for that and I could use something to fiddle around with.
    The Worstenholm says:
    George Worstenholm & Sons
    Celebrated I*XL Razor
    Washington Works
    Sheffield

Very nice finds. Yeah, really nice. Nice. Other peoples' good fortune tends to anger me. Grrrrr.

Some elbow grease and those puppies will be beautiful. Good finds and good razors.

    Neat old razors!

You find those at the race track this weekend?

I saw a LOT of stuff headed up there on Friday. I wimped out and stayed home. LOL

Yeah the Pate swapmeet. There were mostly junk dealers but a few good finds. The guy I bought these off of had a lot more. I just didn't want to spend a bunch on razors. I was still hoping that I could find the car parts I needed. You should have gone. I found quite a few dealers with straight razors. I almost bought a very pretty Dorko for a dollar, no real rust a little patina but no rust. I would have bought it too except the blade was cracked. Ha! just my luck
