    Default Old Spice

Walked to an antique store and acquired a bottle of OS for 4 bucks. I guess it is the old stuff since it came in a glass bottle.

I'm not sure how old that is, but I seem to recall buying Old Spice in a milky white glass bottle back in the '90s. I could be wrong - people of my age have notoriously bad memories

However, if that is old then according to Old Spice's latest ad campaign (here in Australia anyway), your bottle represents a Grandfather who did not wear it, and hence a grandson who was never born. You will be receiving a strongly-worded vision from the Pope any day now...

Well, smells great still. I splashed some on when I got home. It is like I remember it. Plus it has some staying power too. I have not used Old Spice in twenty years. I think I got it as a gift one Christmas. The lady I got it from said it was her dad's aftershave of choice.

There was a box of the english leather but sadly no frag inside. I was about to get the box too. It was a wooden one. I also saw a huge bottle of Brute. I mean it was giant. A life time supply. It was empty but definitely would have been a novelty item to have.

You guys are killing me! Old Spice, Brut, English Leather, and don't forget Canoe, and for the women Tigris and Opium! You mean these are ancient now? Oh, the dregs of old age are bitter now, for sure, when these sweet smells are only remembrances, and for the most part can only be imagined by a new generation. I miss youth and the days of carefree exuberance and vitality! Live life full and with dignity and honor!!..... Just the ramblings of an old "Straight Shaver"!! Hope you guys figure out the future, the past was amazing!

    Regards,

Other great vintage AS to look for in antique shops are the Avon AS's(spicy and wild country) which are usually easy to find. Another, and one of my personal favorites, is Hai Karate which is more difficult to find and will usually command a slightly higher price.

    Ryan,

Now I really show my ignorance, I had to Google Drakkar Noir to see what it was, scent, etc.. Came out in 1982. I should have heard of it, but after all I'm an Okie and if we can't pronounce it its probably not going to the cash register. LOL
