See that diagonal band of spots on the spine? And how it matches perfectly with the warped scales? I just noticed that this morning - when I wrapped a rubber band around that exact spot to prepare it for shipping!
...I am never, ever going to put another rubber band around that part of a straight razor again. Maybe around the middle pin, to travel, if I don't have a case - but only on a cheap razor.
