Thread: Brought A Rolls Razor Home.

If the blade is really dull, you can gently pry the guard off the sides and hone it like you would any other razor - except that you'll need to push the blade instead of controlling it from the tang.

I have sharpened several rolls blades that way, and when they are properly sharpened they give a fantastic shave.

A big thanks to"RobH." for the instruction manual download! I didn't get one with mine! Does anyone wet the hone before using it? I was thinking of Smith's honing Solution. Mine just has a cardboard box, not a fancy one like Hirlau. ;-(

As a buddy of mine said who was in the Princess Pats and also volunteered as a Canadian and served in Vietnam, the Rolls Razor was standard issue kits for him, he knew all about them....
