One final update. Got enough practice in using my hones that I got up the nerve try them on a brand new razor. Refreshed the edge of the Revisor last night and shave this morning with it. Even with my rookie honing skills it now shaves much better than with the factory edge, closer and not as harsh.

That's awesome Bob!! Not as Harsh is huge. I found my Revisors really settled down after I gave them a bit of "love" too!

I really like using this razor because of the shoulderless blade, thumb notch and weight. The only thing about having a thumb notch is that it makes stropping it feel slightly awkward. I just may eventually get another with the same design.

I love the shoulderless... It might help to tighten the pin a bit at first. It'll help on the stropping. But you'll get used o it soon enough.
