Started honing at it today. Didn't use any tape and I guess I didn't try hard enough. It's close but no cigar. It'll cut whiskers but it ain't quite right yet.
I think I'll put a layer of tape on it and start over. I did that with an old Rodgers that I also honed today. I took it up to 8K on the Naniwas and finished it on that Belgian Salmen stone. It came out SWEET and shaves OH SO SMOOTH!!
The big boy will too, just have to get my act together.

I love the masonic blades, but wont chase one, as I am not a member of the order, and just dont feel right about it. Of course, if one falls into my lap, I wont turn it away either!
And yea, the damnable snipe programs are the only way to go!
