    Hi, welcome to SRP

The missing England stamp indicates it is made pre 1890 IRC.

Interesting look on it, can't recall seeing one with those jimps on the spine before, looks to be in pretty good shape by the pics, shouldn't be very har to make it shine again.
Need help or tutoring? Check out the  .

Good looking blade and it seems to be in good condition too.

Welcome to SRP. Nice W&B. Rather than ask for volunteers to restore your blade go to the SRP classifieds and look in member services. The resto guys in there have been around awhile and know their stuff.

    Thanks
It doesn't have chips or holes but it does have some stains of oxidation. The Horn Scales were broken so I trashed them. The scales did have the letters J V on the inside both of them. Don't know what they stand for though.

Chances are they were the owner's initials ? I have had quite a few Sheffield horn scaled razors ..... still do ..... and I don't recall ever seeing the factory put letters within the scales. Never know though.

Welcome to SRP Alex - I'd love to do the restoration for you, however, I wouldn't be able to return the finished item due to the fact that I love the look of that blade soooo much.
Good luck with it though - it wouldn't be to hard to do it yourself - great ideas in the workshop sticky
Hang on and enjoy the ride...

Undream did a 12 part restoration video if you decide too try doing it yourself, I got a lot of my techniques from those.
And even if you let a professional do it, it's still an interesting watch. Straight Razor Restoration: Start to Finish (Part 1) - YouTube

Thanks I saw that video a while back very nice. But I don't have the time nor the tools.
I know it would take some work on the spine so I'm contacting restoring sources to get quotes and ideas on how to proceed. I think I want some clear brown, see through, scales with washers and a classic design that would have an easy way to remove the scales for drying and cleaning. I tried the classifieds but my emails got sent back for some reason. Shoot me a pm if interested.
