    Yes we really do.
It be sweet to get a strop made out of every animal out there.
I only have Cow and Horse.
I would like one made out of Beaver.

This makes me want to get a hunting lincess so i can go dear hunting.
Plus Dear jerky does taste good.
and a lincess to hunt other animals.
i do know that hunting season is longer or sooner for those
who hunt with bows and arrows.

I've always thought of deer leather as being too thin for a good strop, but those crazy Aussies seem to like their roo hide, which is about the same weight, I think.
I should have a pile of hides in a month... I might send some to a tannery and see how it works out.

Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.

I've thought about doing this before, but making a paddle strop out of it and adding a thin layer of foam rubber between the wood and leather to kind of strengthen it up. Don't know how well it would work, but I thought it worth trying.
