I like wood planes, but the prices of the *good* infills are past what I like to spend. Someone gave me a slater infill bullnose that his father had, missing its iron, and I made another one for it. It's a really nice little plane.

I have scratch made a loose copy of a norris A13, a spiers panel plane kit, and another small 55 degree infill from scratch (which at the time was just to see if I could get a good working plane). I have a norris a6 copy/kit in the works right now.

I see in the past couple of decades, norris planes have gone up a lot, I just arrived too late on the scene to buy them based on where they've gone in price.

You can google image "slater infill" and see what slater made, they had a whole range of planes, but in my opinion other than the bullnose, most of the original norris and spiers planes looked nicer.

It was in WestChester a couple of blocks from IKEA. It was last Saturday and is a yearly event (but I am not sure if it is in the same place. The link is :

Here they are. Honed up the Allison's and will shave with it tonight.

Used my new stones and diamond spray from SRD and my lesson from Lynn and I may have a new favorite razor!

That was one of the reasons I laid out the cash for this one!
