Not sure how I never found this before.
While out at the family farm, I got into talking to my father about my newly diagnosed RAD, and he mentioned that he had one in his dresser. That to me seemed odd, since he has used an electric razor for as long as I can remember. He brought it out and it was a 1920's Boker King Cutter. It was my great grandfather's, and he gave it to me for resto/safekeeping/use. For 30 years it had been right under my nose and I had no idea it was there. All in all, for a razor that hasn't been touched in 3 decades, it looks like it just needs a gentle polish and a hone.

Congratulations! Not only is that going to be a great shaver, but the family connection will make it all the more special.
Enjoy!
It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

Great story. The family connection/history of the razor make it especially nice.
I'm a big fan of Boker steel. I'm sure it will be a great shaver for you for many years.

Oh. And he also gave me the hone in the OP, he's been using it to sharpen his fishing knife.

Thanked: 3224The best kind of find. It should clean up nicely, take a good edge and best of all is the family connection. You really lucked out.

Very nice razor! I only have two razors so far with two more on the way, one is modern from SRD, the other three are vintage from my father. Pops believes them all to be my grandfathers, it is nice to shave with some thing that your grandfather used decades ago. My father and grandfather both Barbers so it is hard to tell if the razors were for work or personal use. I think that I prefer an older blade to a modern one. Okay enough of my rambling enjoy your Boker!
Aloha,
